Bahá'í Library Online email lists

The Bahá'í Library Online hosts a few private listservers. Some require academic experience or active scholarly pursuits as a prerequisite for membership. To request membership, send a brief resume to admin Jonah Winters, jonahwinters@gmail.com, and let him know which list you're interested in.
  1. Fireside, for announcements and discussion of firesides and presentations.
  2. Hikmat, for discussion of theology. Open to anyone, but some form of advanced education or academic involvement recommended.
  3. Himayat, for discussions of matters pertaining to effective responses to written attacks on the Faith. (See also the tag Criticism and apologetics.)
  4. Issues, for discussion of contemporary events. Open to anyone, but preference given to those with active engagement in or publications related to current issues.
  5. Kalimat, for bibliographic research. No restrictions on membership.
  6. Tarbiyat, for textual, comparative, and practical study of the Baha'i teachings on education.
  7. Tarikh, for studies of history. Our oldest list. Open only to those with advanced academic achievement or current scholastic pursuits.
  8. Tarjuman, for discussion of translation. Our second-oldest list. Open to anyone pursuing translations or language studies, or anyone with advanced education.
  9. Tech, for websites and app development. Open to anyone, but some form of internet technology background recommended.
